Join us in a Celebration of Life and Benefit Concert for Milan Bertosa, the man behind many popular recordings in Hawaii. Enjoy the music of the artists that he recorded and played with in his own bands.
In addition to the outstanding selection of Artists, there are two fundraisers… a raffle for a chance to own a piece of Milan’s gear and an auction that has musical and non-musical items.
Plan to stop by at least part of the day, but we encourage you to stay longer and spread the love to the family of Milan, who have traveled from the Mainland to share the Aloha with us all.

SUGGESTED $10 donation per ticket, Three (3) for $20
- GRAND PRIZE : 1995 Gibson Explorer
- Est Value $1,895
- Purchased by Milan in the late 90’s. This Explorer would have a journey of its own. Milan’s closest friend, Porter Miller and Milan would trade this guitar back and forth over the years.
- Due to its incredible neck action, this was a favorite of Milan. Porter convinced him to sell it to him. Porter then used it for gigging on a regular basis.
- Milan though would trade gear to Porter and re-acquire the guitar about three years later. However, Milan sold it to another musician on the island during a time of “thinning the herd”.
- Just like most musicians, he later regretted it, but could not find the buyer. The guitar seemed lost.
- About four years later, Porter was at Hot Licks Guitars and the guitar appeared one day to be traded in. Porter took the opportunity to acquire it once again.
- Milan was in the process of re-aquiring the guitar from Porter before his untimely passing.
- Porter has donated it to the family to be raffled off as a way to honor Milan and help with expenses. The family sends their love and appreciation to Porter for this gracious gift.
- Please donate for raffle tickets to support the Estate and own this “Friendship Bond” guitar and share in its history.
- Fender Blues Jr. Amplifier
- Est Value $595
- Used as a practice amp for Milan for a number of years.
- Known for its versatility, the Blues Jr., is a workhouse amp, and would be a great part of any collection.
- Share in Milanʻs story by contributing to the raffle and possibly taking this home with you from the Event.
- Blue Baby Bottle Condenser Mic
- Est Value $475
- One of the first Baby Bottles out. Milan was always on top of new products and invested in three of these.
- This is the highly sought after ʻMade in Latviaʻ original series before manufacturing moved and the company sold.
- This one comes with custom case, windscreen and shock mount.
- A very versatile recording microphone.
- A great piece for any mic locker!
